What Must I Do To Be Saved?
We are to Have Faith
Christ died for our sins expressing God’s love. We must trust Him as our savior, John 3:16; Hebrews 11:6; Acts 16:31. But not faith alone, James 2:14-16.
We are to Repent
A change of heart and mind. Repentance is a change of behavior motivated by a sorrow for our sins and determining to do God’s will. Luke 13:3; Acts 2:38; 1 Peter 3:11; 2 Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 4:23-24.
We are to Confess Christ as Lord
We should let others know of our convictions about Christ. God has no secret agents, all His followers should be openly proud of their relationship with Him. Matthew 10:32; 1 John 4:15; Romans 10:9-10; Mark 8:38.
We Must Be Born Again
Being born into the family of God by accepting Jesus as Lord and being buried with him in Christian baptism (immersion). John 3:5; Romans 6:4-11; Acts 2:38; Colossians 1:12; Matthew 28:18-20.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
